Patience…

Another classic from Ben…we were running a bit behind last week, after swimming lessons and needing to get some dinner and run some errands, so my patience was running thin with “special” drivers and red lights. Ben and Andrew were busy telling Jeff and me stories the whole drive to the restaurant. Getting a slight headache and annoyed with the driver in front of me when I missed the green turn arrow because of their slowness to respond to the light, I said something along the lines of, “I’m so annoyed!” (trying to keep it clean for the boys). Ben was quick to tell me, “Mom, I have just one more thing to tell you.” In a slightly annoyed voice, as he had been telling me lots of “one more things” the whole drive, I said, “what Ben?” With a straight face he says, ” patience mom, patience”. I guess that’s what Anakin tells Asoka in The Clone Wars, so a classic line for them to remember. That just cracked us up and left me with more patience and a lighter heart the rest of the night. We are definitely entertained by the boys, that’s for sure!
