As Seen on TV

One thing that we notice about Ben (and many other kids his age) is how lost they get within TV.  All other senses seem to shut down when their is a TV in the area.  For Ben it doesn’t matter what is on, his favorite cartoon, commercial, infomercial, or even a Mexican soap opera.  Here are a couple examples:

One day Ben was watching one of his many favorite shows on the Cartoon Network while Mom & Dad where in the kitchen.  Suddenly we hear:

Ben:  Mom . . . Dad . . . I think I need to go to Sylvan Learning Center.  They will help me with my homework.

Some of his gift ideas . . .

Pajama Jeans:

Ben:  Do you think Mom would like those?

Forever Lazy:

Ben:  We should get that for the whole family.

*Not sure how to feel about that gift idea*

Ben:  Snuggies come in camouflage now *his favorite color thanks to Brad Paisley*

I think he was hinting that he wants a snuggie.  He has a slumber party coming up, maybe we’ll buy him a snuggie vs a sleeping bag to take :)

While eating at McDonalds, this one had a TV at the end of the booth.  Obviously, Ben & Andrew always try to get this booth whenever we go there.  After numerous conversations with Ben answering “Huh? What did you say?”, Dad decided to put a theory to a test.  We noticed that there was a shake weight commercial on so here comes the test . . .

Dad:  Ben, how many minutes a day to see results?

Ben:  5 Minutes *answered with little to no hesitation*

That’s what I thought.
